Steve Ganson knows all too well how scary it is to flirt with the dangers of coronavirus. And that’s why the RFL’s head of match officials is determined to keep spreading the “stay at home” message.
Ganson and his family were among the earliest Brits to be tested after returning with some symptoms from a February holiday in the Italian virus hot-spot region of Lombardy.
They all thankfully got the all-clear, after a nervy 36 hour wait, but Ganson got a clear picture of the stresses that NHS workers are under.
He said: “Since then it has gained major momentum and we need to do everything we can to help the NHS. “We are talking about people’s health, jobs and lives being at stake so it’s important we all stick with it and stay at home.” His
