Scottish Government announces no deaths and 2,677 covid cases in last 24 hours

The Scottish Government has confirmed that there have been no deaths from coronavirus in the last 24 hours. The latest figures for Scotland show that 2,677 new cases have also been identified overnight, bringing the total number to 698,962.

It brings the death toll since last March – of people who first tested positive for the virus within the previous 28 days – to 9,467.

11,933 deaths have been registered in Scotland where COVID-19 was mentioned on the death certificate.There are currently 777 people in hospital confirmed to have the virus with 58 being treated in intensive care.To date 4,338,322 people have received their first vaccination with 3,937,949 having a second jab.The new figures come as the Sunday Mail revealed residents at a
