Selena Gomez has opened up about having bipolar disorder for the first time, during an emotional live stream with Miley Cyrus.

Miley is hosting her Bright Minded series on Instagram live, and Selena, 27, was one of her latest guests. The singer revealed that she found out she had bipolar during a recent visit to hospital in Boston, Massachusetts, adding that the condition no longer scares her.

She said: ‘Recently, I went to one of the best mental hospitals in America, McClean Hospital, and I discussed that after years of going through a lot of different things, I realized that I was bipolar, ‘I was equal parts terrified and relieved – terrified because the veil was lifted but relieved that I finally had the knowledge of why I had suffered
