'Selfless' driving instructor dies after six-week Covid-19 fight 'ripped his body apart'

A flood of tributes have been paid to a 'selfless' driving instructor who died after a six-week fight with coronavirus. Paul Wright's heartbroken wife, Allie, described him as a 'special man' and an amazing husband, dad and grandfather.

She said her 59-year-old husband was placed in an induced coma at the end of November after coronavirus 'ripped his body apart'.

The granddad-of-three finally passed away on December 27, TeessideLive reports. He was well-known across Teesside and taught hundreds - if not thousands - of people to drive.
