Love Island ‘could be set in the UK’ as bosses consider ‘delaying’ new series amid coronavirus
Love Island could be in for a number of changes this year as it’s reported the show could take place in the UK rather than Mallorca, Spain. The ITV show's bosses are said to be making a “number of contingency plans for a UK edition” of the show, which could see islanders finding love somewhere slightly chillier than its usual Spanish setting. The coronavirus pandemic, which has hit a number of countries across the world including the UK and Spain, means the show could also be delayed from its usual June to July slot on ITV2 to August to September, Variety have claimed.
