With filming for movies, TV shows, and soaps currently halted due to Covid-19, the upcoming series of Love Island may still be given the green light despite the global pandemic.
Shooting for the popular ITV dating show usually kicks off in June, but the production team are being forced to push back the start date, along with the location.
Since the show's revival in 2015, the programme has been broadcast from a luxury villa in the hills of Majorca, however, this year, the show could be filmed a lot closer to home.
Taking into account the current ban on international travel and social distancing guidelines, TV execs are currently brainstorming ideas, and one possible solution is a UK-based Love Island with filming taking place.
