Love Island is set to be released in August and September, Variety has reported. This is later than the hit ITV show’s usual beginning time of June, as of course the filming in May had to be postponed owing to the coronavirus pandemic. The publication has claimed that it will be airing later in the year, although they will need to put forward a plan to safeguard contestants while they look for love in the villa.
It was also suggested that, instead of filming in far flung locations such as Mallorca, or more recently South Africa, bosses may choose to base the show in the UK so as to avoid problem as many flights have been cancelled owing to travel restrictions.
