‘The Goonies’ cast reunite and tease sequel: “That would be amazing!”
The Goonies recently reunited to pay tribute to Ke Huy Quan to celebrate his hand-and-footprint ceremony at Los Angeles’ iconic TCL Chinese Theater.The star, who made an Oscar-winning comeback in Everything Everywhere All At Once, was also promoting the release of his new film Love Hurts.On Monday (February 3), The Goonies actors Corey Feldman, Jeff Cohen, Kerri Green, and Josh Brolin reunited alongside the film’s screenwriter Chris Columbus to pose for pictures and pay tribute to Quan. Cast member Sean Astin and producer Steven Spielberg were not in attendance, although the latter sent a letter to be read out.Quan, who played Data in the 1985 classic, as well as Short Round in the second Indiana Jones film, found acting work difficult to come by in the years after his initial success, instead forging a career in as a fight choreographer in films such as X-Men and Jet Li action movie The One.He has always stayed close to his Goonies castmate Jeff Cohen, who played Chunk in the film and later became an entertainment lawyer.
