The Apprentice contestant Amy Anzel has spoken about weight loss journey and the two "hidden" health conditions that caused her to gain 70lbs.

The beauty businesswoman, 48, who dubbed Lord Sugar "harsh and nasty" following her firing, shared a before and after image on her Instagram account.

She explained to fans she had gained and lost 70lbs, and also opened up on her "years of struggling" with undiagnosed health conditions. "I've had so many messages since sharing my weight loss story, so I thought I'd post a bit more info on how I gained and lost 70lbs," she captioned the post. "Looking at these photos side by side, I barely even recognise myself in the before photo and am so proud of how far I've come!" Amy explained that after the birth of her son, Jacob, she was diagnosed with hypothyroidism, a condition where your thyroid doesn’t produce enough hormones, and Hashimoto's thyroiditis, an autoimmune disease where antibodies are produced that attack the thyroid.These conditions led to her thyroid being underactive, causing weight gain in the process.
