The Pretty Things frontman Phil May has died at the age of 75, it has been confirmed. The star suffered a bike fall and had undergone emergency surgery this week in which complications had ‘set in’, his representatives confirmed in a statement.
The singer, who had been in lockdown with his family, passed away in hospital on Friday morning. ‘It is with very deep sadness that the management of the Pretty Things has to announce the death of the band’s lead singer, Phil May,’ they confirmed. ‘Phil May passed away at 7.05am on Friday 15 May at the Queen Elizabeth hospital, Kings Lynn, Norfolk.
