Volunteers are using 3D-printers to make protective face shields for NHS and care workers on the frontline of the fight against coronavirus.
The project is the brainchild of Stockport engineer Nik Sheppard, whose day job involves supplying equipment to the food and pharmaceutical industries.
The dad-of-two began producing the face shields using a 3D printer he got for his 40th birthday - before adding another two to his arsenal of machines.
He has now been joined by three others - Andy Brown, Tony Roberts and Andy Grimshaw - in a bid to ensure those putting themselves at risk to help others get the protection they deserve.
