A Northern Quarter bar has been left devastated after a burglary in which an estimated £15,000 of stock was taken. Mala, in Lever Street, describes itself as ‘an escape from city life within the city’.
It had only recently transformed its extensive beer garden into a festive ski resort complete with alpine chalets, cable car booths, heated huts and a large garden space with beer-hall type benches running throughout.
However, in the early hours of yesterday morning (December 16) it is believed a group broke in, stealing thousands of pounds worth of stock.
