The UK's coronavirus hospital death count has shot up by 406 today, with one of the victims aged just 13-years-old. England suffered 302 fatalities, Scotland announced 50, while Wales recorded 44 and Northern Ireland had 10 in the highest daily increase since May.
The patients who died in England were aged between 13 and 100 and all but 12 of them had known underlying health conditions.
Today's increase is far higher than last Wednesday's 248 new deaths and is the biggest single-day jump in fatalities since May 12, when 425 were announced.
It comes after Keir Starmer today slammed Boris Johnson during PMQs over his delay in introducing a 'circuit break' to cut spiking infections.
