Tom Hanks, 63, has sent a Corona-brand typewriter to an Australian boy who has been bullied for his name during the global pandemic.

The Hollywood actor - who has now recovered after he contracted coronavirus whilst filming in Oz - reached out to little lad Corona De Vries after the eight-year-old wrote to Tom after he and his wife Rita Wilson were infected with the deadly bug.

Young Corona wished the couple good health and told that he was being targeted at school because of his name.
