A group of tourists who were caught breaking lockdown restrictions were made to write lines of apology by police. Officers forced the group of ten travellers to write "I did not follow the rules of lockdown so I am so sorry" 500 times.

So police took a dim view of the group of tourists after spotting them out for a walk in Rishikesh. Police officer Vinod Sharma said the town was experiencing widespread problems with foreigners ignoring lockdown rules.
