A four-year-old boy has died after being mauled by a pack of feral pigs. Cops found little V Harshavardhan's partially-eaten body at a rubbish dump in Hyderabad, India, after the hogs dragged him away from his house.

They were still trying to identify his body when the lad’s grief-stricken parents arrived at the tip. Detectives reckon he was kidnapped by the herd after playing near his home in Siadabad.

Local cop K Srinivas said: "A pack of pigs were loitering around the garbage dump and attacked the child on spotting him. "The animals partially ate the body of the boy." He was declared dead on arrival at a nearby hospital, before his body was transferred to a government building for autopsy.
