PHILADELPHIA - The trial of a Philadelphia man charged with shooting six police officers during an hourslong standoff in August 2019 has been postponed until Sept.
2022.Maurice Hill, 38, faces more than 70 counts including dozens of charges of attempted murder and assault of a law enforcement officer, after he fired what police have said were more than 200 rounds during the course of the more than seven-hour standoff.
Hill's trial was scheduled to start Oct. 18, 2021, but has been moved to Sept. 19, 2022.Investigators say the Aug. 14, 2019 standoff started when officers attempted to serve a drug-related warrant.
