Two rushed to hospital as man pulled from wrecked car after smash

Two men were taken to hospital after a crash on a busy road in Oldham last night. The smash happened on Ripponden Road in the Moorside area at around 11pm on Monday evening (June 10).

Police officers, paramedics and firefighters raced to the scene two-car crash. One man had to be rescued from one of the wrecked cars by firefighters, the fire service confirmed.

Paramedics then cared for him on the scene, before he and another man were rushed to hospital, a spokesperson for the North West Ambulance Service added. It was taped off into the early hours. Images also showed two cars left badly damaged within the cordon. One car was left leaning against a brick wall while another was seen with a badly-smashed front.
