More than 1,400 people across the UK have died from coronavirus. The latest figures, published on Monday, confirms that the UK death toll now stands at 1,415, which is an increase of 187 from yesterday’s total of 1,228.
The number of people to have tested positive for Covid-19, as of 9am, is yet to be confirmed by the Department of Health. In England, the number of people who have died after contracting coronavirus is now 1,284, a rise of 159, NHS England said.
The patients were aged between 32 and 98 years old and all but four, aged between 56 and 87 years old, had underlying health conditions.
