UK coronavirus death toll increases by more than 750 in just 24 hours

The UK death toll has reached more than 12,800 and more than 98,000 people have tested positive for coronavirus. The death toll is up by 761 from 12,107 at the same time yesterday.

The number of confirmed cases is up by 4,603 from 93,873 at the same time yesterday. The latest update from the Department of Health reads: "As of 9am 15 April, 398,916 tests have concluded, with 15,994 tests on 14 April.
