Westlife have been dropped by their record label, according to reports.The chart-topping Irish band have been culled by EMI despite their latest recording hitting number one in the UK.Music insiders have claims that despite it topping the charts, the album didn't shift as many copies as bosses had hoped.Part of the blame is being placed at the door of the pandemic, with Spectrum being released in November 2019.Westlife had planned to go on a major tour in 2020 which would have driven up streams and sales but due to lockdowns around the world the shows were axed.A music insider said: “Westlife are still a big name but their album came out months before the first lockdown, which has made things really difficult.“Unfortunately, it didn’t quite.
