191 people from reserve list are vaccinated at Aviva

The HSE has said that 191 people were called from the reserve Covid-19 vaccination list and vaccinated at the Aviva Stadium.

It came after a group of people from a disability service provider did not arrive for their jabs. The HSE said the issue arose as a result of a "misunderstanding" around vaccine scheduling.

It is understood that a group of around 280 people from the disability service were expected at the stadium. The HSE said that no vaccines were wasted and the appointments missed are being rescheduled for later this week.

At the Aviva, 613 vaccines were scheduled to be administered and 506 vaccinations took place, the HSE said. The vaccinations were for people in Category 4, which is those at very high risk if they
