House leaders informed lawmakers that they would vote on the legislation on Monday, and the Senate was likely to vote on Monday, too.Spot gold rose 0.4% to $1,888.76 per ounce.
Silver rose 0.9% to $26.01 per ounce. Platinum was up 0.1% at $1,036.75 and palladium fell 0.1% to $2,358.71.However, a stronger US dollar capped gold's gain.
