A second man has died in Waterloo region due to COVID-19, according to Waterloo Public Health. Dr. Hsiu-Li Wang, the region’s acting medical officer of health, said she was notified of the man’s death on Wednesday morning.
She said the man had a preexisting condition and was in hospital at St. Mary’s General Hospital. “This is an especially difficult time for the family and loved ones, and I wish to express my deepest condolences to them,” Wand said while announcing the news during a press briefing.
