Six more coronavirus patients have died at the Royal Bolton hospital, the NHS announced today. More than 70 people have now lost their lives at the hospital after testing positive for the virus.

The latest update show that two patients died at the hospital on Easter Sunday, and seven died on Saturday. However, these daily numbers are likely to be revised upwards later this week as there is usually a delay in reporting deaths.

The NHS stats show that April 5th was the day with the highest death toll so far at the Royal Bolton, when 11 patients lost their lives.

In total there have now been 550 coronavirus deaths across Greater Manchester, with an additional 45 deaths announced today.
