5 Seconds of Summer singer Michael Clifford has apologised for some of his past tweets which were offensive, insisting that he is a ‘different person now’. A 5SOS fan dug up some of Michael’s historic tweets over the weekend in which the pop star is said to have made sexist and anti-gay comments.

The 24-year-old did not specify which remarks he was referring to but acknowledged he was wrong and issued an apology on Sunday (14 June). ‘Hi.

I am so f–king sorry for all the dumb s–t I did when I was younger,’ Michael began. ‘I am a different person now with a much better understanding of the world.
