Jonny Hayes agrees Aberdeen deal as former Celtic star takes cash hit for Pittodrie return

Jonny Hayes back to Pittodrie. The Irishman will sign a two year contract, subject to a medical, this week.The winger has made a number of financial sacrifices to make the deal happen and to help the cash-strapped Dons to get the move over the line.

Hayes made it clear after his release from champions Celtic last month that his preferred destination was a return to Aberdeen.

The 32-year-old had five successful years with the Dons, where he lifted the League Cup, before Brendan Rodgers took him to the Hoops.
