It looks like Fox is getting ready to say goodbye to the 9-1-1 franchise altogether. After the flagship series left Fox and moved to ABC, spinoff series 9-1-1: Lone Star appears to be ending after the upcoming fifth season, according to details in a new report.
The fourth season wrapped up in May 2023 and fans have been waiting for over a year for new episodes. Production on the new season is currently underway and expected to be completed in mid-July. Robyn Lively, who has recurred on the show over the years, accidentally broke the news of the show ending by posting (and then deleting), “So excited to be a part of @911lonestar’s final season!!
What a ride it’s been!” Deadline reports that the cast tried to renegotiate their contracts ahead of season four, but the studio pushed back and offered to renegotiate ahead of season five.
When it came time for those negotiations, the studio indicated that season five would be the last one and no renegotiations would take place.
