There are 916 patients with Covid-19 in hospitals, according to the latest figures from the Covid-19 Data Hub. This compares with 899 at 8am yesterday.
The hospitals with the largest number of cases are St James's with 111 patients, the Mater with 83 and Connolly in Blanchardstown with 72.
Overall, Health Service Executive figures show that the public hospital system has 644 general beds free and 42 adult intensive care unit beds available.
Yesterday, the Department of Health said it had been notified of 17 further coronavirus-related deaths, with 788 new confirmed cases.
