Active COVID-19 cases in Ottawa back above 400 for first time in two weeks

OTTAWA -- Ottawa Public Health is reporting 62 more people in Ottawa have tested positive for COVID-19 and the number of people with active infections is back above 400 for the first time in two weeks.

Across Ontario, 1,924 new cases of COVID-19 were reported, surpassing Saturday's new record of 1,859. Fifteen more deaths from COVID-19 have been reported in Ontario, including one in Ottawa.

According to OPH's COVID-19 dashboard, there have been 8,763 total laboratory-confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Ottawa since the pandemic began.

380 citizens of Ottawa with COVID-19 have died. Sunday's figure from OPH differed slightly from the 61 new cases in Ottawa reported earlier in the day by the Ontario Ministry of Health.
