Aldi and Asda implement new 'no touch' rules for supermarket shoppers

Supermarket giants Asda and Aldi are urging shoppers not to touch products they're not planning on buying. The move comes as coronavirus lockdown is rolled out for a further three weeks, and efforts are being ramped up even further to stop the spread of the virus.

It's part of latest measures being rolled out across Britain's supermarkets to safeguard customers and help implement social distancing guidelines, reports the Mirror.

Asda now says it is hoping to prevent further spread of coronavirus by asking customers not to touch items they don't intend to purchase.
