Bolton Wanderers would back wage caps for players in the future as talks over deferrals for April salaries continue. A group of 34 clubs from across League One and League Two have written to the EFL to suggest that players' wages be capped for the following campaign in a bid to save money due to the coronavirus pandemic.
A letter written by Mansfield Town owner John Radford to EFL chairman Rick Parry on behalf of the clubs who have taken part in the discussions has made four key points.
The document, published by the Daily Telegraph, states there is a 'strong desire' for the current season to be completed by the end of July at the latest.
