Brevard reopens three county-operated campgrounds, first of its 17 libraries

BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. – Brevard County this week reopened its three county-operated campgrounds in Melbourne, Melbourne Beach and Titusville, after they had been closed due to the coronavirus pandemic, News 6 partner Florida Today reported.

Additionally, the first of 17 county libraries reopened Tuesday, with the goal of having all 17 libraries reopened by May 18.

The county campgrounds will accept reservations, as long as they do not exceed 50% of occupancy capacity to help with social distancing.

The county said existing booked reservations will be honored, providing they do not exceed 50% occupancy. If an existing booked reservation makes the campground exceed 50% occupancy, booked reservations will be honored based on the date they were
