Broadway star Nick Cordero is recovering after having a leg amputated amid his coronavirus battle, it has been confirmed. The Waitress actor tested positive for Covid-19 more than two weeks ago and was revealed to be under sedation on Saturday (18 April).
Nick’s wife, Amanda Kloots, has now confirmed that the actor successfully underwent surgery to remove his right leg at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.
He began to experience complications due to blood clots in the leg meaning blood would not reach down to his toes. The blood thinners he was being treated with began to affect his blood pressure and cause internal bleeding in his intestines.
