Broadway star Nick Cordero has had his right leg amputated, his wife Amanda Kloots has confirmed after suffering complications from coronavirus.
The 41-year-old actor had been hospitalised at the end of March in Los Angeles, initially being diagnosed with pneumonia. He later tested positive for the deadly Covid-19 virus.
Nick, a Tony-nominated actor had moved to Hollywood with his family during his appearance in the musical Rock of Ages. After being admitted to a Los Angeles hospital the Canadian star was treated in an Intensive Care Unit before a drop in his blood pressure led him to be placed on life support, with the actor being in a medically induced coma since.
