Burnley's clash with Watford this evening has been called off due to a Covid-19 outbreak in the Hornets' squad.The clash was scheduled to take place at Turf Moor later tonight but will now be rescheduled, most likely in 2022.

Numerous other fixtures have been postponed in recent days, with Manchester United and Brentford due to play last night before an outbreak in the former's squad.

Confirming the news this evening, Burnley tweeted: "We can confirm that tonight’s match against Watford has been postponed due to an ongoing Covid outbreak within the opposition squad."At this stage it is unclear which members of Watford's squad have been hit with the virus.
