An initiative which aims to improve employability for marginalised groups has called for additional measures to help such groups with employment opportunities in the wake of the Covid-19 crisis.
The Open Doors Initiative was launched in 2018 and last year it assisted over 2,300 people in addressing barriers to employment.
Among the groups it aims to improve employment opportunities for are asylum seekers and refugees, people with disabilities as well as young people facing barriers.
Publishing its first-year results today, it says that last year 33 companies were involved in the initiative which resulted in over 1,900 people developing new market-relevant skills.
