CHANNEL 4 bosses are slashing fees given to celebrity guests in a desperate bid to save cash. Stars asked to appear on shows including Eight Out Of Ten Cats could see their pay offers drastically reduced in some cases.
It came after the Channel’s 4 Head of Commissioning Management Emma Hardy said’ “fees have got out of control”. A TV insider said: “Channel 4 are on a huge cost-cutting drive as the pandemic has hit them hard and it’s been decided that celebrity fees are for the chop. “Meetings were held last week and a cap of around £2000 per episode for guests on entertainment shows was put forward. “Filming for the shows are on hold because of the lockdown but when they resume the cap is expected to be put into place.
