Health chiefs have reassured that they intend to reinstate the GP out-of-hours service at the Vale of Leven Hospital as soon as possible.NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) told the Lennox Herald that work is ongoing to develop a new appointments system and they are reviewing GP pay scales in order to ensure the lifeline service is back up and running.We reported last week how campaigner Dr Patrick Trust from Lomond Patients Group pleaded with the health board to progress with plans to allow medics, who have been running other services at the Alexandria facility, to take over operating of the out-of-hours service.And the health board have responded and saying they remaining committed to ensure the service is again available at all times
