A deadly virus has re-emerged in China - killing seven people - in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic which left thousands dead.
At least 60 people have been diagnosed with a syndrome that is caused by novel bunyavirus, a highly pathogenic, tick-borne illness that can spread from human to human through blood or mucous, and causes a viral haemorrhagic fever.
The patients, all in eastern China, are suffering from severe fever with thrombocytopenia syndrome (SFTS), which can be deadly if it isn't caught early enough, according to infectious disease experts.
Early symptoms of the virus, which was first detected in 2009 in rural areas of China, can include fatigue, fever and a rash.
