People aren't wearing face masks properly on public transport, an expert has warned. It is now mandatory for anyone using public transport to wear a face covering to help contain the spread of coronavirus.
The new law, which started on June 14, meant anyone not wearing a face covering on public transport could be fined £100 in England.
But according to Professor Susan Michie, a member of the Scientific Advisory Group for Emergencies’ (Sage) subgroup on behavioural science, some people do not know how to correctly put a face mask on and are putting themselves and other commuters at risk.
