We repeat the same message to the same people a few thousand times, before losing our cool BENGALURU : Going about his duty for the past fortnight in Bengaluru’s Whitefield police station area, beat constable Hemant S.B., 34, has been asking himself a question: “Should I stay home or be at work until this lockdown is over?" His wife, who is six months pregnant with their first child, lives with his elderly parents. “My family members say that my life is more important than the money I earn, but I am worried that I may do myself more harm if I go home, considering the threat of the pandemic spreading further." Like many others at the frontline in the battle against the covid-19 pandemic, Hemant is confused, but not scared.
