Soap fans are suffering withdrawal symptoms of their regular telly fix amid the coronavirus lockdown. Despite having more time to watch their beloved serial dramas from EastEnders to Coronation Street, viewers have been given less episodes per week as usual – with Corrie airing three times a week rather than six – after the coronavirus lockdown caused production to temporarily stop.

But, fans have been given hope that the soaps could soon return to their filming schedules, as Corrie and Emmerdale are reported to be planning a return to filming.
