Coronation Street fans couldn't believe their ears when the legendary Ken Barlow appeared to swear. Viewers were convinced that Ken, the soap's longest-standing character, turned the air blue in his new retirement accommodation with a very rude word.

Speaking to his friend Norris Cole at Still Waters retirement village, fans thought he said the word 'b*****ks' Ken asked Norris why he hasn't told wife Freda he was unhappy with life at Still Waters.
