The number of elderly and vulnerable residents who have died in care homes with coronavirus has topped 100 as union chiefs insist workers were “left behind” in a crisis.A further 14 people passed away after falling ill with Covid-19 in homes across Renfrewshire over the past week, taking the total to 103.The devastating death toll comes as Renfrewshire Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP) confirms less than a quarter of its staff absent from work because either they or a family member have shown symptoms of the disease have been tested.A total of 358 staff have been recorded absent as a result of coronavirus since the outbreak of the pandemic.However, between April 7 and May 8, only 81 of those had been tested.Sean Baillie,left, an
