A healthy 26-year-old marathon runner with no underlying medical conditions has died after contracting coronavirus, it has been reported.
Brazilian Mauricio Kazuhiro Suzuki died on March 28, just 10 days after he first started to show symptoms of Covid-19 in the city of Sao Paulo, in the southeast of the country.
The lawyer is understood to have sent a message to his bosses on March 18 where he said he could not go to work as he had a cold before he went to Cruz Azul hospital with his mum.
Doctors reportedly told him he had the flu and he was given medicine for it. But, he continued to worry about the coronavirus and did not return home with his elderly parents and instead went to live with his sister and her husband.
