Liam Gallagher has shared his upset following the news his sold-out Heaton Park concert has been axed due to the coronavirus outbreak.

The 47-year-old, who is currently self-isolating, told his 3.1million Twitter followers he's "absolutely gutted" his homecoming gig will no longer take place following the government's recent health and safety precautions.

Taking to the social media platform, the former Oasis frontman announced the devastating news to his fans, but insisted when the concert does take place, it's going to be a cracker.

Referencing covid-19, he urged his following to stay safe and up their hygiene in a bid to combat the global pandemic. "I'm absolutely gutted that Heaton Park has been cancelled due to you know f**king what,"
