The novel coronavirus outbreak at the Lloydminster Hospital that infected 31 people has been declared over by the Saskatchewan Health Authority.

Medical health officer Dr. Mandiangu Nsungu lifted the outbreak following 28 days of no reported cases of COVID-19. The SHA says visitor restrictions remain in effect for Lloydminster Hospital along with all other health facilities in the province.

The outbreak was declared on April 26 after a cluster of cases were reported at the hospital. It started with an asymptomatic patient who had been at the hospital for weeks for an unrelated issue.

Beijing on Thursday after winning bronze in the first freestyle skiing mixed-team aerials event at an Olympics.Marion Thenault, Miha Fontaine and Lewis Irving, all of Quebec, were representing Canada for the final at the Genting Snow Park in Zhangjiakou, China.Canada was among six nations appearing in the qualifying stage, and advanced to the medal round with a combined score of 326.94, making them the third seed team in the last stage. China, the United States and Switzerland also advanced.In the final, the Canadians locked in a combined score of 290.98 for bronze.

COLOMBO (News 1st); A Sri Lankan court on Thursday (10) issued two enjoining orders preventing the strike action by the Government Nursing Officer’s Association from continuing.The Attorney General filed an action against the Government Nursing Officer’s Association and its president Saman Rathnapriya, seeking an enjoining order from the court to immediately suspend the trade union action of the said union.The Attorney General appraised the court of the present deplorable conditions in hospitals due to patient care being severely affected.District Court Judge of Colombo Aruna Aluthge issued two enjoining orders preventing the union from continuing the said trade union strike endangering the lives of the patients.
