A bereaved family were "robbed" of spending time by their father's side in his final days after he tested positive for coronavirus.
Derek Belmont, 75, was at St Peter's Hospital in Chertsey, Surrey, when he was told he had sepsis and that he would not be able to survive it.
But just one day later, on Tuesday March 24, Mr Belmont's family were told they would no longer be able to visit him because he had tested positive for COVID-19.
His son, Ryan Belmont, and wife Beryl Belmont were given once last chance to say goodbye in person. On the following Saturday, Mr Belmont passed away, reports SurreyLive.
