Huge queues of elderly people who lined up early in eagerness to get their coronavirus jab wound up waiting in the rain. Scores waited arrived well in advance of their appointments in North East Lincolnshire.
The first vaccinations in the region were booked by appointment at Beacon Medical Centre in Cleethorpes. But a queue had already formed outside well before the first allotted session at 3.45pm, showing the demand from those eligible to receive it, reports Grimsby Live.
Staff at the centre did their best to keep spirits up despite the December chill, while also ensuring the flow of patients going in didn't overwhelm those trying to work as fast as possible inside.
